My name is Nick. I was stricken with a very serious case of wanderlust at a young age. Growing up, my mother worked for an airline. This very luckily afforded me free standby travel until I graduated from college. I can't even remember my first trip, I'm told it was the San Diego Zoo (grew up in Atlanta, Georgia) and I loved it. I do remember my first ocean jump, a trip to London at 10.
It's said you spend your discretionary income on the things that matter most to you. I drive a 10 year old Ford pickup and spend my money on travelling well. I took it so far as when deciding to go back to graduate school to get an MBA, I landed on a Duke Program that allowed me to take 5 international trips to study (obviously there were other compelling factors as well).
From my own view, looking out on the world, I can't imagine anything better to share than my travel experiences, the deals I find along the way and the gear that helps me do it.
